Owl sigil Owlclothes
Independent label · made for the slow hours

Clothes for the slow hours between dusk and morning.

An editorial wardrobe built around a single quiet motif — the owl. Heavy knits, raw indigo, and overshirts cut to outlast the dark.

The Collection

Three categories. Cut to last.

A small, deliberate range — knitwear, outerwear, and denim — built in natural fibres and dyed to deepen with wear.

Our name

The owl is a working motif, not a logo.

We took the name from the bird that does its best work after everyone else has gone to bed. Owlclothes is built for the same hours — the long evening, the quiet between trains, the walk home in October.

Every piece is cut from natural fibres that breathe in the cold, hand-finished in small runs, and graded to deepen with wear. We'd rather make twelve garments a season than seventy-five.

Materials

Cloth that earns its second winter.

We work with three fabrics. Each one is chosen because we know how it ages — the slubs, the fade, the way a collar starts to soften after a hundred wears.

01

Shetland wool

Spun in mills that have been doing this for longer than the brand has existed. Heavy, oily, and weather-honest.

02

Heavy linen

Belgian flax, 12oz weave. Stiff for the first month, then softens into the closest thing to armour we know.

03

Selvedge denim

Raw, rope-dyed indigo with a tight selvedge edge. Two years of wear and it tells your story instead of ours.

From the Journal

Notes, fittings, and the long evenings.

Process pieces, fabric notes, and the small stories behind each garment. Posted occasionally — when there is something honest to say.

Get in Touch

Stay close. We post seldom, by design.

A short letter when a new piece is cut, a new fabric arrives, or the journal posts. No noise — we send a few times a year.
